Homemade Korean Kimchi Recipe
- 2 heads shredded Napa cabbage
- 3 cloves of crushed garlic
- 5 scallions
- 2 minced jalapenos
- 1 teaspoon of powdered ginger
- 2 tablespoons of crushed chili pepper
- 2 tablespoons of raw honey
- ½ onion head
- ½ teaspoon sea salt
You will need to prepare it in a bigger glass jars with a tight lid in order to store the kimchi.
Combine all the ingredients mentioned above already prepared as they should, only do not add the honey and salt considering that they start the fermentation process.
Take 2 cups of the already ready mix and put it in the blender and add the honey and salt here. Mix the mixture and afterwards put it in the already prepared jars. Press the mixture down good and on top of it place a few cabbage leaves rolled up.
After this the fermentation process begins and you should store the jars at room temperature for about 1 week. After this period, it will be ready to consume and once opened, it must be stored in the fridge.
